In my opinion your exhaust gaskets are not leaking oil. Typical problems include fuel not being completely burned too much oil or coolant evaporating. I have oil leaking out of the exhaust manifold stud on my 2003 30 Saturn Vue.
That not being the case only leaves one option.
Odds are when something like this is happening then you arent getting much if any firing going on in the cylinder. Oil leaks are like baby puke. Oil stem valve seal failure. This problem is associated with the blueish engine smoke you might notice when youre driving.
